Abstract

Globalization and digital technology have expanded students’ access to knowledge while creating challenges for understanding and practicing Islamic values. This article describes strategies used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to integrate Islamic values among students in the globalization era and identifies factors that support implementation. The article synthesizes Maemunah’s thesis through a descriptive Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Literature was searched through Google Scholar using criteria that included relevant research articles, full-text availability, and publication during 2021–2026; the selection process was reported as following the PRISMA flow. Six articles were analyzed in the thesis and used as the basis for this synthesis. The findings indicate that key strategies include teacher role modelling, habituation of religious activities, guidance and mentoring, active and contextual learning, and thoughtful use of digital media. The success of these strategies depends not only on teachers’ individual competence but also on school culture and institutional policies, adequate educational facilities, collaboration among teachers, and the involvement of parents and the wider community. The article concludes that the integration of Islamic values should be consistent, collaborative, and responsive to changing social and technological conditions. As this article synthesizes six articles reported in a single thesis, its findings should be interpreted in light of the scope and selection criteria of the source literature.
